Reviews and Ratings
I had an exceptional experience at this charming hotel situated in the idyllic village of Ripley. The spacious rooms were immaculate and provided comfort after a day's exploration, complemented by a superb breakfast that was a real highlight. The dining experience was equally delightful, with a menu featuring local produce that never disappointed. While the historical significance of the inn added to its appeal, I did find some of the dining options could have benefited from a broader selection.
My stay at the hotel was wonderful overall, with delightful and attentive staff that made me feel truly welcome. The location was exceptional, nestled in a picturesque village with easy access to local attractions. While I thoroughly enjoyed the dining options, I did notice that some meals could benefit from a bit more variety. The room was very comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful amenities provided, making my stay relaxing. However, I did have a minor issue with the service during a busier time, which affected the dining experience slightly.
The Boar's Head has a charming atmosphere and is beautifully kept, making it a lovely place to visit. The rooms are quirky and comfortable, though they might feel a bit small for some. The breakfast is exceptional and well-received, while my experience with lunch left something to be desired due to some underseasoned dishes. Service can be hit or miss, with friendly interactions overshadowed by a frustrating encounter during my espresso order that left me unimpressed.
I recently dined at The Boars Head and was truly impressed by the quality of food and the attentive service we received. The atmosphere was charming, making our meal memorable. While the banoffee pie could use some improvement, overall, I would certainly return for another meal in the future.
We had a delightful experience staying in the annex called Birchwood House, which provided a uniquely charming atmosphere. The room, while not overly large, was comfortable and well-equipped, and the location had its own picturesque appeal. However, we faced some issues with noise from the bar and weak Wi-Fi in our room. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, with great food options and attentive service, albeit with a few minor inconveniences.
